EVENITY® is a prescription medicine used to treat osteoporosis in women after menopause who are at high risk of fracture, ( See More ) or cannot use another osteoporosis medicine or other osteoporosis medicines did not work well.

  • PROGRAM OVERVIEW

    Once enrolled in the Bone Matters® Patient Support Program, patients can sign up for helpful courtesy appointment reminders. These reminders can be delivered through text message.

    Important Program Information: This program is intended for the limited purpose of delivering courtesy reminder notifications to remind you to schedule your next dose of EVENITY®. However, it is up to you and/or your caregiver to ensure you obtain your next dose in a timely manner and in accordance with your doctor's instruction. This program is not intended to be a source of medical advice or treatment and does not replace in any way independent medical advice regarding your diagnosis or treatment. Any questions about medications or health care should be presented to your doctor.

    As a reminder, you must be 18 years old to participate. By participating, you agree that you are solely responsible for determining whether the use of this program is right for you, and you agree to release Amgen from any liability relating to your use of this program.

    Enrollment and getting started:

    At this time, enrollment for the EVENITY® appointment reminder program can be completed online at EVENITY.com or with one of our live agents at 1-888-231-5663.

    Within the Bone Matters® Patient Support Program registration section on EVENITY.com, specific to the text message option, patients will be asked to provide the following information:

    • Cell Phone number—This is the number where the patient would like the medication reminders to be delivered

    At the time of registration, patients can also view the Mobile Terms and Conditions, which is also included on this page.

    Once a patient enrolls in the Bone Matters® Patient Support Program and chooses to receive appointment reminders via SMS/text message reminders, patients will receive a welcome text message from 89183 confirming their desire to enroll in the EVENITY® reminder text program. The patient will need to reply 'YES' to confirm enrollment. Should the patient not confirm enrollment, they will not be enrolled in receiving appointment text reminders for EVENITY®. See below for message example:

    Appointment text reminders will be sent based on the appointment date provided during enrollment. For example:

      Patient provides next EVENITY® date of December 1:

    • •  First dose appointment reminder text will be sent to them on November 19th; 14 days before their next appointment date
    • •  A second reminder will be sent on November 26th; 7 days before their next appointment date
    • •  A post-appointment confirmation message will be sent on December 6th; 5 days post their appointment date

    How many messages will patients receive?

    The amount of appointment text reminders received by the patient will vary per month.

    Opting out:

    A patient can opt out of the EVENITY® appointment reminder program at any time by calling 1-888-231-5663.

    Customer support:

    Should the patient have any questions about EVENITY® or the Bone Matters® Patient Support Program please do not reply to any text message sent to you through the appointment reminder program, as responses are not monitored. Instead, please call 1-888-231-5663 and a helpful representative can help assist you.

    Amgen's EVENITY® Reminders mobile Short Message Service (SMS) program runs on the short code 89183. Amgen will not charge you to use this Service; however your Wireless Service Provider may charge for sending and/or receiving messages and for air-time.

    Amgen Inc. (“Amgen”) reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove these Mobile Terms of Use (“Mobile Terms”) at any time. Important Safety Information

What is the most important information I should know about EVENITY®?

EVENITY® can cause serious side effects, including increased risk of having a heart attack, stroke, or death from a cardiovascular (heart or blood vessel) problem. Call your healthcare provider or get emergency help right away if you have any of these symptoms: symptoms of heart attack, which may include: chest pain or pressure; shortness of breath; feeling light-headed or dizzy; or symptoms of stroke, which may include: headache; numbness or weakness in face, arm, or legs; difficulty talking; changes in vision or loss of balance. Before you receive EVENITY®, tell your healthcare provider if you have had a heart attack or stroke, especially if it has happened in the past year.

Do not receive EVENITY® if you: have low blood calcium; or are allergic to romosozumab or any of the ingredients in EVENITY®.

Before receiving EVENITY®, tell your healthcare provider about all your medical conditions, including if you:

  • have a history of other heart or blood vessel problems
  • have low blood calcium
  • cannot take daily calcium and vitamin D
  • have kidney problems or are on kidney dialysis
  • plan to have dental surgery or teeth removed

What are the possible side effects of EVENITY®?

EVENITY® may cause serious side effects, including:

Serious allergic reactions have happened in people who receive EVENITY®. Call your healthcare provider or go to the nearest emergency room right away if you have any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction including: rash; hives; swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat which may cause difficulty in swallowing or breathing.

Low calcium levels in your blood (hypocalcemia). EVENITY® may lower the calcium levels in your blood. Your low blood calcium should be treated before you receive EVENITY®. Call your healthcare provider if you have symptoms of low blood calcium such as: spasms, twitches, or cramps in your muscles; numbness or tingling in your fingers, toes or around your mouth.

Severe jaw bone problems (osteonecrosis) may occur. Your healthcare provider should examine your mouth before you start EVENITY® and may tell you to see your dentist. Ask your healthcare provider or dentist about good mouth care.

Unusual thigh bone fractures. Symptoms of this type of fracture include new or unusual pain in your hip, groin, or thigh.

The most common side effects of EVENITY® include joint pain and headaches.
